Meet Your Lead Mentor
Melissa LaPointe is an occupational therapist, adult educator, entrepreneur, and the founder of OTs Gone Rogue — with two decades of experience across clinical practice, curriculum development, adult education, and consulting.
Rogue Scholars is the direct expression of that work: a program built on how adults actually learn and grow. It's grounded in adult education theory, professional identity transition research, and nearly a decade of working at the intersection of occupational therapy, program design, and entrepreneurship.
This isn't a generic business program with OT branding. It's built from the inside out — by someone who has navigated this transition herself and has spent years helping others do the same.
The intellectual home
for therapists designing transformative programs.
Rogue Scholars is a six-month mentorship container for OTs who are ready to design and deliver a signature program — and who already have the business foundations in place
to do it.
Most OTs reach a point where the existing structures stop fitting.
Not because the work isn't meaningful — but because there's more they want to do with their expertise. More people they want to reach. A program they've been thinking about creating for a long time.
The challenge isn't motivation.
What they're actually attempting is genuinely entrepreneurial work — building a program, creating a new revenue stream, designing something that has never existed before to solve a problem they know intimately.
It requires a sustainable business model, an understanding of how money moves in and out of a business, and the ability to build something with intention inside a real life with real capacity constraints.
That's exactly what
Rogue Scholars is built for.
