Building an online program has never looked more accessible. And yet most OTs we talk to have never felt more stuck.
Not because they're not inspired to do more with their expertise. To reach more people. To have more money hitting their bank account.
The challenge isn't motivation.
It's putting the right pieces together and building something that actually works. Designing and delivering a program that earns attention in a crowded online space.
That kind of work requires intention. It requires building not just a program, but the operating system behind it. For OTs who are managing multiple roles and doing this work alongside an already full life, the container has to be built for that reality.
Rogue Scholars is a six-month mentorship container for OTs who are ready to design and deliver a program they can scale. Through group coaching, live training, implementation sessions, and a curated curriculum, members develop the strategy, systems, and confidence to build something that lasts.
Here's what's included:
✔ Core Curriculum — Six areas of focus covering business foundations, program design and delivery, visibility and sales, systems and operations, financial literacy, and leadership and capacity. Self-paced, with a floor plan and orientation map to guide your focus.
✔ Group Coaching Calls — Hot seat format, led by Melissa. Questions submitted in advance so every call is focused, relevant, and worth showing up for.
✔ Implementation Sessions —Structured work blocks to help you move from strategy into action, facilitated by our Program Coordinator.
✔ Focused trainings covering program design, offer architecture, business systems, and more. Delivered throughout the cohort and recorded for flexible viewing.
✔ Office Hours — Submit your questions between calls and receive a thoughtful, considered response. Because the support doesn't stop when the call ends.
✔ Community — A values-driven space for peer conversation and accountability.
✔ Resource Library — Worksheets and tools that grow with the program.
✔ Flexible Attendance — All calls are recorded. Designed to work with your life.
What a typical month inside Rogue Scholars looks like:
Every month includes:
- Two group coaching calls with Melissa — hot seat format, questions submitted in advance, one hour each
- One live training workshop with Melissa — focused on one area of your program business, one hour. Expect additional trainings at the start of the cohort as we build momentum together.
- One implementation session with our Program Coordinator — a structured work block to move from strategy into action, 90 minutes. Not recorded — designed for live participation and real-time momentum.
- Async office hours — submit your questions between calls and receive a considered response from our team
- Self-directed curriculum — six areas of focus, at your own pace
Every quarter, a two-part 90-day planning intensive to map your next season of work.
All calls except implementation sessions are recorded and available in your member portal within 48 hours. If you'd prefer the exact calendar of dates and times, reply to our email and we'll send it over.

This program is a great fit if:
-
You have expertise worth building around and you're ready to stop letting the idea sit
-
You've been going down rabbit holes trying to figure this out on your own and you're ready for a structured path forward
-
You already have something running but you're still the bottleneck and you know it can work better than it currently does

Meet the Architect Behind the Program
Melissa LaPointe is an occupational therapist, adult educator, performance coach and the founder of OTs Gone Rogue. She is the architect behind everything Rogue Scholars is built on.
Her work sits at the intersection of occupational therapy, program design and leadership, grounded in two decades of experience across clinical practice, curriculum development, and building a program-based business from the ground up.
Rogue Scholars is the direct expression of that work: a program built on how therapists actually learn and grow, designed for the kind of professional identity shift that doesn't happen by accident.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I can't make the live calls?
All calls are recorded and available in your member portal shortly after. You can submit your questions in advance so your work still gets attention even when you can't be there live.
What happens after six months?
Rogue Scholars is a minimum six-month commitment. At the end of your cohort, alumni extension options are available at a discounted rate — giving you the option to continue the work at the next level.
How is Rogue Scholars different from other online business programs?
Most business programs are built for a general audience. Rogue Scholars is built specifically for occupational therapists, grounded in adult education principles, program development methodology, and the real constraints of building a business alongside an already full professional life.
Can't I just figure this out on my own?
You could — and many OTs do, through years of trial and error. Rogue Scholars is designed to shorten that timeline significantly by giving you a structured container, direct mentorship, and a community of peers doing the same work alongside you.
Do I get direct access to Melissa?
Melissa leads every group coaching call, live training workshop, and 90-day strategic planning intensive. She also contributes to office hours responses. Day-to-day community questions and implementation sessions are facilitated by our Program Coordinator. If you have questions outside of these touch points, you can reach our team at [email protected].
What is your refund policy?
If within 14 days of your enrollment date you feel the program isn't the right fit, you may request a full refund. After the 14-day window, all payments are non-refundable. If you need to exit the program after that point, your payment plan will be cancelled and no further payments collected, but payments already made are non-refundable.
